Frequently asked questions about elderly care at home
Do you provide 24-hour elderly care?
Yes. We offer both 12-hour and 24-hour elderly care options. For 24-hour care, we typically assign two caregivers in 12-hour shifts to ensure the patient receives attentive, fresh care around the clock. Live-in options are also available where a caregiver stays in the home.
Can the caregiver help with cooking and household tasks?
Yes. Our caregivers assist with meal preparation aligned to any dietary requirements, light housekeeping related to the patient's living areas, laundry, and other daily living tasks. For patients with specific medical dietary needs, we coordinate with the family and doctor to ensure proper nutrition.
How do you handle dementia and Alzheimer's patients?
Our caregivers receive specific training in dementia and Alzheimer's care including behaviour management techniques, communication strategies, wandering prevention, and creating a safe home environment. We develop customised care plans that address the specific stage and symptoms of the patient's condition, and we adjust the plan as the condition progresses.
What if we are not satisfied with the caregiver?
We understand that the match between caregiver and patient is crucial. If you are not satisfied for any reason, simply contact our care coordinator and we will arrange a replacement — typically within 24 hours. We take feedback seriously and use it to improve our matching process for future assignments.
